The Mysterious Sacrum by Richard Crandall
Do you have a combination of the following?
The sacrum may be the key to feeling better. The structural position may be directly related to function and once improved your mind and body may feel better too. When the sacrum, sometimes called the "sacred" bone, settles either left or right, one can experience nagging pain in the hip. An analogy for this can be seen by picturing the key stone in a stone archway. If the stone placement isn't just right the structure above and below is weakened. In the body this can lead to sore hips and weak back. Above the sacrum the spine begins to zig-sag and feels like a constant drain on your body.
If the sacrum is just a few thousands of an inch off center, problems may arise in the physical body and emotions, leading to physical problems in the hips, uterus, prostate or skin.
Centering the sacrum takes a few minutes. Structural centering occurs very gently and gradually. This gentle approach is non-invasive, safe and very effective. The area of the sacrum is gently contacted by the practitioner's hand and within a few minutes muscles relax, tension settles and pain may begin to fade away. A sense of centering breath, nervous system release and greater warmth often accompany a treatment. In these still quiet moments the body gently creates the internal environment for the sacrum and the surrounding ligments and other supporting tissues to be less troubled. Torque and strain may be reduced and alignment of the sacrum may occur allowing the overall body function to feel more centered and free.
What preceeds all this magic you might say, how does this happen? The approach is called biodynamic craniosacral therapy. The practitioner's role is to align with the healing energies of the body, orienting with the healing natural forces of the body, the natural forces we call tides, cycles of cerebrospinal fluids, waves of energy we call the breath of life. The surrounding natural matrix aligns our body, this blueprint of our original design guides correction and supports a return of greater health. Our health is never lost; it may be utilized to keep us from being sick but it may be underneath the presenting symtoms. Health is never lost. Biodynamic craniosacral therapists cultivate the environment for improving health. Health may be hidden under the present illness or imbalance, however health is never lost.

Debilitating Migraine Headaches
Do you have some of these symptoms?
Migraines are nasty, aweful headaches that are just extremely diffiult to walk around with. The feeling comes on and there is little you can do except lay down in a dim low light area.
The headaches you experience have probably been coming up for years. Much of the body, particularly the upper back and shoulders, are stiff or tight. You may have other areas that are problematic such as the rear or side of the head, even when no headache is present. You may experience lingering stiffness or body aches that never really go away. There may have been some accident that left the upper body feeling inflexible.
The good news is with treatment migraine headaches can diminish in intensity and frequency in a fairly brief period of time. The intensity and frequency of the headache may be lessened within a few or perhaps three hours of biodynamic craniosacral therapy. To be transparent, having migraine headaches stop and never come back is not something that occurs in a brief period of time. The tension in the cranial area and supporting tissues all needs to be lessoned gradually.
The approach of the biodynamic craniosacral therpist is to use both of their hands very gently almost not touching at all yet close to the body. This feather light touch can help the tension and heaviness melt away helping you find a comfortable position or to go deeper into a settled sense of ease. The therapist becomes aware of areas of congestion in the body and while applying soothing contacts with their hands facilitates a healing process that gradually allows the tight spots to find some space. As the body settles down the lingering headache and shoulder pain can be addressed carefully and gradually in a very non-invasive approach that allows the stiffness to soften and for the rigidilty of a stiff structure and muscles to become more pliable.
Biodyanmic craniosacral therapy is a very safe, subtle and effective treatment for addressing aches and pains of the whole body, not just for head and spinal problems. Tension throughout the body can be felt by the therapist and accordingly a treatment session can unfold specifically for almost any area of the body. Sometimes the connection can be directly related to the spine, feet, connective tissue, accident or emotional upheaval that occured a long time ago. The therapist can feel the overwhelm that is running through the nervous system and can help reduce the tension so the underlying causes can be addressed more directly.
The approach a biodynamic craniosacral therapist follows is to align themselves with the universal forces that created you. The forces present themselves within the craniosacral fluids, breath of life and other fluid tides we call the mid and long tide. Each tide respectively carries the individuality of our unique life and the connection to our transpersonal spiritual life in the great dimensions and mystery beyond our comprehension and veil of existence.
My recommendation is to try three sessions of biodyamic craniosacral therapy before you pass judgment. This is truly awe inspirering work that is non-invasive, safe and effective. When you are dealing with the great beyond words don't come close to acurately describing what the experience is like. Biodynamic craniosacral therapy can be provided non-locally over a distance. Weather permitting, in-person sessions can be provided probono. Blessings to you all.
